Moleskine Notebooks
If you do not yet carry a Moleskine pocket notebook, you probably have never held one. It is the near-perfect design tool for note-taking and capturing and sketching ideas. Not only is it excellent quality, it is perfectly proportioned and includes some extraordinarily useful features—an elastic closure strap, an expandable pocket on the inside back cover, and a page marker ribbon.
Plus, it comes with a two hundred year history. The publisher claims an impressive roll of devotees—no less than Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Bruce Chatwin, and Ernest Hemingway. The pages are creamy white and acid free—and you can specify whether you want pages with or without lines.
Inside the back cover is a full-length, expandable pocket for secreting away such items as business cards, stamps, currency, and so on.
One favorite feature is the elastic closure strap. When you pull your Moleskine notebook out of your purse or pocket and release the strap, you'll feel as though something important is about to happen.
FROM CHUCK There are certain items I do not leave home without—my wallet, my cell phone, and my Moleskine Pocket Notebook. At this writing I am just starting on my tenth Moleskine, the others, warn and tattered are beside me on the bookshelf.
