Regarding guilloché and other document security design features

I came across some guilloché patterns the other day and was curious about how it is used in the design and printing of secure documents—certificates, banknotes, passports, tax stamps, and so on. We’ve discussed currency design in the past, but not some of the many methods of printing secure documents.

In case you come across a project requiring fluorescing metamerics or deliberate errors, here’s an introduction.
