Create this one-of-a-kind wood and leather map tag

by Chuck Green at ideabook.com

New Custom is offering a sophisticated new app for creating a one-of-a-kind wood tag with a leather strap perfect for adding an unique identity to a piece of luggage, purse, briefcase, messenger bag, a backpack, laptop bag, and so on.

A map of what? What pops to my mind would be your home address, birthplace, college or school, favorite vacation spot, company headquarters, the location of special event, the home of the famous person, a landmark, an infamous address, a historical site, a battleground, an unusual topographic feature—you get the idea.

Even if you don’t pull the buying trigger, do try out the user interface—Mobelux, the folks that designed it, broke some new ground. (Full disclosure: my son Rob Green is the Mobelux Creative Director.)

Try it out here by typing in the address of the Eiffel Tower: 5 Avenue Anatole France, Paris, France…

Or Brooklyn, New York, or 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, or Yosemite National Park (for that one, and choose the topographic map option).

The article from Tools & Toys demonstrates the process…
