Design Profession

There is an art to negotiating difficult projects nicely…

There is an art to saying difficult things nicely.

Jessica Hische, the celebrated letterer, illustrator, and designer makes another generous contribution to the design community in the form of “Jessica’s Client Email Helper”—an interactive process for making nice easier.

As she explains it, “Negotiating incoming project terms over email is difficult for even the well-seasoned professional. I’ve created this handy tool to help you say “no” to free and low-budget work and to help ask for more favorable contract terms before the start of a project.”

Jessica’s Client Email Helper…

In recent years Hische has contributed other equally as interesting projects to the design community under the term, “aprocrastiworker.” She says, “I’ve used side projects to exercise parts of my brain that go unused during client time, and have had a blast creating fun resources for other designers”…

Projects…

If, by chance, you don’t know Ms. Hische’s work, you owe yourself a look to her portfolio…
